Disclaimer: I''m a wild eyed newbie when it comes to the current state of graphics theory. I have seen "Particle Systems" mentioned in several articles and messages I have read as I try to base myself in the current state of affairs. Usually with something like: "... but it doesn''t matter, we''ll all be using Particle Systems soon." The Gauntlet Project is using a particle system. Unfortunately, I haven''t been able to find any good description of what a particle system is and how it is used. I''ve tried searching through the articles here (A Search on "particle" in the resources doesn''t seem to return anything..) I tried doing web page searching. Nada. Anyone have any pointers to some backgrounder material on particle systems? Thanks! Notwen
