Hello, I'm new to Programming and would like some advice and/or on the game I'm working on. its a single player game (might add up to 4 player option later) with 3 dimensional graphics. based off the anime "Fairy tail"

I would like to have a customizable character option, a 3rd person shooting/fighting ability, 3D terrain layout and a level system

,

Any advice like

- What program I should use

- Links to websites or codes that may be of some use

- Anything you think might help

Would be very much appreciated

[Note]: this is for personal use

You're asking programming questions, not Game Design questions, so I'm moving this to the proper forum.

That will help.

Now do you want to like program it from like the ground up or are you look more at something like UDK or Unity?

That's covered in the FAQ I linked.
