Hey!

I'm looking for some help on making j-rpg game. At the moment I'm not looking for a coding and sound help etc, just Graphics and design and maybe some animation tips.

I mean RPG from bird's perspective. Something like Pokemon,Heroes Lore or Zenonia.

Could you give me some tips how to create resources in such perspective, backgrounds, enemies and characters.

I'm looking for that retro, pixel style, some tips how to make it and put it together. I'd be also thankfull for theory of that perspective

That is an interesting question. What drives the perspective in RPG games, what's the theory behind it?

I Googled for "RPG Perspective" and other terms, and found these. They are all worth a read:

I didn't thought yet to use perspective grid in such problems :)

That links seems really useful, thanks again :)

But are there some tips for animiating characters in such perspective?
