When I visit GDNet's home page on my phone, I'm logged in. But if I click any link I am then logged out. This happens again if I then click sign-in, then sign in, and then click anything else.
From what I recall, I think Michael said if some server doesn't respond within some time period, it assumes we are not logged in... Could this be related? Also, why is it done like this?

I'm not seeing it in my searches, but I remember it being discussed a year or so ago.
The symptoms were it would log in for one or two page views, then change to appearing logged out.
I don't remember if there was any solution or workaround.
