Hey folks! I am developing a text adventure engine as a learning experience. This, though, is beyond your run-of-the-mill repeated if() statement engine. I am developing a parser and a language specifically to write games in. Currently, it's in its very early stages of development and has very limited capabilities, but I hope to, over time, expand the engine to something people actually use and or extract knowledge from.
I am looking for suggestions on improving the engine - both for features, and for found programming mistakes or bad habits. If you guys could look over my code and suggest features or edits, I would greatly appreciate it! The feedback really helps!
In order for the engine to work on your computer, you have to go into the main() function and change the parse location. I've been working on a .rtf document for some time now to teach people how to write in the engine. It's not completed yet, obviously. (sorry if the document seems aimed at the unacknowledged. I didn't write it, and the license, specifically for this post. I wrote it for the engine's release on my website).
(please do not pass this code around. Not that there's much to pass around anyways, yet.)
File deleted temporarily. You can now download it here.
Thanks for any help ;)
