As for the old TA driven lounge, I dunno. It was certainly wacky fun but it could get tiresome. Plus I didn't get along too well with those guys.

I liked the complete stupidity of it all. It always struck me as a little bit cliquey but ultimately completely nonthreatening.

I joined the board July 2003. Now I am busy with Graduate School. I still lurk from time to time.

The sentence below is true. The sentence above is false. And by the way, this sentence only exists when you are reading it.

I'm gonna guess it's a secret MUD that clearly doesn't exist.

I repeat, it does not exist ...

And I still have no idea how to program myself out of a wet paper bag...

Although I have always mainly been a lurker...

What happened to Oluseyi, is he still around? I used to see his nickname quite often in the days.

Oluseyi *is* his name (not just a nickname). I think he's still active on the IRC channel, but I almost never visit there so I can't say for sure.

Right from the GameProgramming99 + Game Programmers Megasite days... using the name 'maniacwolf' then. It stand for "Master of Animation and Coding, Lone Wolf". But after graduated realized that 'maniac' does sound hackerish (i was introduced to programming and computer graphics from the demo scene anyway) it doesn't sound nice professionally.

So now I'm Fable Fox. Which is sad really, because it came from the fable about the fox and the (sour) grapes. It about that sometime you can't have what you want in life...

Oracle DBA now... never worked in the animation, or game programming industry. For quite a while not even in the IT industry. Now that I'm doing DBA (therefore codes in SQL here and there) I'm refreshing Python/C/C++ programming and OpenGL to help Blender (open source 3d animation software) where I can.

I guess you can take a person out of programming + computer graphic industry, but you can't take it out of him...

I was here, but I made a new account during one of my 'time for a change' episodes. It was partly shame since I was all talk for a long time.

True change didn't come from a new forum handle but from actually working at it - go figure.

I was around, under a different alias back then.

I registered my nickname in 2003. Haven't posted in ages, though.

I've noticed that this forum doesn't get quite as many posts per day as it did back then. Kind of strange. You can now see threads last posted to a week ago on the first page of the Lounge.

As I was just telling Promit on IRC, I saw those pictures about a year ago. I've lost that drive now, either as part of an overzealous cleaning out or in a moving mishap. Oh, well…
