Hello,

A friend of mine and I made a bet 2 days ago. He was playing pong and he was bragging about how good is he beating the AI and I told him: "I can make an unbeatable AI for this game with 1 single line of code". His answer: "NO WAY YOU CAN DO THIS" (he never programmed a game in his life). But he don't know that artificial intelligence in games is more artificial and less intelligence because computer controlled players just simulate intelligence. We made the bet and I've won some beer money :d

Here is the 1 line code for the AI:

ai_paddle_y = ball_y;

I actually laughed when I read the code, very nice! XD

Pong is actually one of the best examples of AI in game design: just because a computer CAN beat it 100% of the time doesn't mean that it SHOULD.

I know biggrin.png Just wanted to show him that making AI more stupid (I mean that player have chances to beat the computer) is a lot far harder than making AI unbeatable.

I wanted to make a bet with him about a tic tac toe AI but he will not underestimate me again :))
