Hey everyone, my name is August. I'm new to the community and figured i'd post this as an icebreaker. I have a bunch of tracks i'm working on and this is one I did last night in a few hours. It has a light mix, didn't go crazy, just enough to post. Glad to be here! Cheers.

Hey August,

I liked this track. You kept my interest throughout and it gives a nice retro/hybrid mood.

Good stuff!

Hey Nate, thanks a bunch! Gonna post some more stuff up here soon too. Cheers!

Sounds good. Not really 8-bit though? Reminds me more of the style of tracker based music from Unreal and Deus Ex.

It's got a more modern vibe to it, especially the strings remind me, like my previous speaker, more of Amiga MODs and such. But really nice. I especially dig the rhythm.

Regards

Sebastian

Thanks dudes! Yea its not genuine 8-bit I guess you could say, yet has elements of it.

I think of music for games as adding an "epicness" to them. I've read some articles on how music in games doesn't really matter, as long as it doesn't annoy the crap out of the player. I totally disagree. I think music MAKES the game! It's that attention to detail in which really captures the moment and grabs the player! This is what I aim for in my music. Give the climatic moments in the game feeling instead of just mere accomplishments. It adds a new emotional dimension to gaming. Thanks again.
