Hi guys, 

 

Just another quick question in regards to outsourcing graphics.

 

Since we are using an online freelancer, do we need a signed consent form or contract from the artist as proof that we can use his graphics in our game? Or just paying him is enough proof.

Just paying him means that you would likely win a lawsuit, being that the 'reasonable expectation' is that a work-for-hire arrangement would involve the transfer of rights to the work to the payer...
But, it would be *much* better to have that all in writing!
