Dont know why but I feel like an internet forum is actually the definition of antisocial. May not be “semantically correct” but yea.

Trolls happen, try to pick up early who 's worth talking to.

And yes, sometimes people are just wired different, and they don't match well, it's no big deal, they must just learn to keep a respectfull distance.

There are a couple points I want to make.

First, all of us seem to have this problem. I do and someone else I remember talking to did.

Second, since we all have this problem, it seems to be all about coping with it. Invest too much time in a social situation like a forum and you start to read into it too much. Whereas you just have to take an online situation like a forum like it is, an exchange of information. Sometimes this exchange of information works out, other times you see nothing but destructive behavior.

Basically one has to realize that we are not living in a perfect world, and the same applies online. It's not your fault, little of it is. But what you can do is just learn not to let it bother you.

When it comes to people calling you a beginner, you pretty much have three options. Ignore them, correct them with the risk of starting an argument or having them insult you further, or as a last resort, responding with sarcasm can be considered slightly rude but tends to give people the hint.

^^^ Great reply, couldn't of said it better myself.
I'm new to this forum is there a way to give you points for that post? Jw

All you can really do is walk away and try to take the experience as a cautionary tale about just how thin the veneer of civilized society is.

I suppose all you can do is get back on the horse and ignore it, I suppose.

Comments like this for example are unnecessary make you look resentful (I can easily imagine this sentence from a teenager who is about to commit suicide...).

Seems to be nitpicking, but in my opinion, these little details matter just as the general approach of someone's post. Your general approach may be good but these huffy comments will ruin your communication.

Maybe it would be better to ask a friend and analyse your posts sentence by sentence to see if this is a (The) problem.

Noted. However, it's a little silly to insinuate that I'm perturbed from the start.

I'm doubtful you meant for this to sound bad, but when i read this line it makes me think that your giving a bit of a snide remark to people.

I meant it literally. As in, people literally think they are helping, and they're doing their best, but it turns out that they are headed in the wrong direction, or solving the wrong problem. If you can word it a different way, by all means.

Um what? I'm not a native English speaker. Are you saying that my quoted reply is not really truth, because it falsely says that you are like that from the beginning?

Maybe I'm wrong, but you seen to use too many personal terms of a technical forum: silly, insinuate, perturb? Three terms in a sentence which have personal remark tone in a technical discussion.

This is nitpicking, but I think this is a big part of your problem. You should take some literature/language courses maybe

That is precisely what I am saying. Yes, I am frustrated right now. However, I am not frustrated when I try to help someone, or have decided to ask for help (other than now).

I'll provide an analogy: a water pump fails, and water pours out everywhere, shorting things out. Someone comes to diagnose the problem, and says, "Here's your problem. You have all of this water everywhere."

I'm having a little trouble understanding, but are you saying that I'm using too many personal words in response to a comment about my personality? I'm not sure how to respond otherwise.

Sorry, It's hard to express. I mean that I tried to analyse your post and not your personality, since we are talking about a communication issue rather than a personality issue. Maybe linguistic is a better word than technical.

Not a problem, I'm fully willing to explore this point. Can you cite the part of any of my previous threads where I begin to do this?

Um... I can only see the last 5 threads you started in your profile. You start threads quite infrequently, so I'd have to dig through all the forums to find them.

Anyhoo, I didn't see any problem at all in the 3 technical thread I found, you actually got +rep points in all of them. This whole thing I was pushing was just an idea based on this thread. Maybe you are that fed up, but it's strange why now, because your last technical thread was started 3 weeks ago.
