I watched youtube video HOW RAYMAN LEGENDS IS MADE! http://youtu.be/y-chi097uV4?t=7m38s, in the video I see the developer is controlling a mesh that's automatically filled by the texture with accuracy. could someone give me an idea how this could be done?

thank you,

Looking at the video it seems like they start with a basic quad and apply the texture to it. Then you can rotate/scale/translate or add new points to the quad in order to create complex shapes. Also one thing i do notice is that when they make the meshes bigger. they just repeat whatever texture was on the surface. So if they scale the surface by 2 then the texture get repeated twice, that way it does not look like it is stretched.
