Can anyone help me remember the titles of these games?

Sometimes there are moments where you want to play some old games that you liked when you were younger, but you simply can't remember their titles. This is the exact thing that's happening to me right now; In my case, I have two of them:

  1. The first game is a music game. I played this around 2003-2004 (this was a Windows game, though there might be releases on other platforms too). The gameplay basically revolves around hitting the right key at the right time, much like Guitar Hero. But in this case, there are seven (or was it nine?) keys. There are bars coming down from the top of the screen. The bars are arranged along several lanes. Each lane is mapped to a specific key. When a bar reaches the bottom, you must press the key that corresponds to that bar's lane.
  2. The second game is a turn-based, tile-based strategy game with a TCG element. It's a multiplayer online game with a desktop client, and it features several match types, some ranked and some not. You can buy additional 'cards' for your decks. The game itself plays like most tile based TBS, and you have a base where you can produce more units, along with some resource points scattered on the map. Capture these resource points, and you'll get more resources each turn. The difference is that the cards in your deck can be used to either add new units (in addition to the units you build in your base) or boost an existing one.

So, have anyone else played/heard about these two games before?
