Hello everybody,

 

We are Risin' Goat, a small indie studio developing its first game, a point n' click graphic adventure called A Rite from the Stars.We have just started a Kickstarter campaign and we aim to join the Steam community, so we are currently in Greenlight. It will be launched for PC, Mac, Linux, Wii U and Ouya. You can try a demo for the three first platforms at the Kickstarter campaign page.

We love graphic adventures, both classic and modern ones. Day of the Tentacle, Loom, Broken Sword, Gabriel Knight, Machinarium, The Cave, Gemini Rue... We have played hundreds of them, and that's why we wanted to use our first project to pay tribute to this wonderful genre.
 
However, we also wanted to offer a visual presentation that is not often seen for this particular genre. Therefore, we decided to set our game in a fully 3D environment using a cartoonish art style. 
 
 
While designing A Rite From the Stars, we wanted to introduce some interesting and unique features in the gameplay to make the whole game experience fresh while also being true to its Point & Click nature.
 
We want to keep our vision intact, so we are developing this project using our own resources. However, development costs are still very high, which is why we need your support to make this adventure come true.

A Rite from the Stars is a 3D Point & Click adventure set in a paradisiacal yet dangerous environment: The Mystical Island of Kaikala.

Kirm, a mute kid from the Makoa Tribe, must overcome a rite of passage in order to leave his childhood behind. In fact, he has been chosen by the stars to become a legend among his peers. So his rite will not be ordinary… and it will definitely not be easy. In order to complete his quest, he will have to master three paths (Wisdom, Courage and Spirit)…
 
...and a Final Trial.
