New to Opengl es and have done followings :

1. Created a matrix of 6x4 and displayed image thumbnails.

2. On clicking the display set, image is rendered full screen.

Presently I am showing just 6x4 images in a page and more get loaded in next page...

But if there are more I need to keep in a horizontasl scroll view/grid.

Would you please guide on proper methods to follow so as not hog too much resources when the items are more and how to accomplish smooth horizontal scroll.

Sorry for bad english

The most straight forward solution would be to store the index where currenlty displayed and  load the 10 (*3 for each row) elements before and after that position into memory. As the user scrolls left and right the items in the list before and after will be loaded into memory and would hopefully provide a smooth scrolling experiences while never taking more than 63 (21 * 3) elements of memory.
