I have been doing some game programming courses in C++ and DX9 but the games we have made have all been on a single screen, no moving around. I want to go further and continuing my RTS i was developing in java/libgdx a year ago. The thing is i have no idea how to make a camera that lets me pan around the game world. In LibGDX it was very simple. I have tried google but havent had any luck.
I have found SFML which has the view-class which does what i want. But i dunno how you'd go on about with culling and such?
I also found the DirectX Tool Kit which is a wrapper around DX11, and i have found a camerathingie for DX11. Should i switch over?
