The Humble Widget is updated with more payment methods, a customizable look and feel, and now the ability to bring asm.js-powered games to be played directly in-browser. Our Humble Engineering and in-house Porting teams will be updating the Humble Developer Blog with guides on porting and more. Come check it out and say hello!

HUMBLE BUNDLE LAUNCHES HUMBLE WIDGET, ALLOWS GAMES TO BE PLAYED IN BROWSER

Pay-what-you-want digital distributor launches asm.js-compatible widget to bring games to browser

San Francisco, Calif. - February 25, 2015 - The Humble Widget is the best way for a developer to sell their game on their website and is now available for all game developers to use. It offers friction-free payment methods, delivers DRM-free downloads and Steam keys, and developers also keep an industry-leading 95% of net proceeds after payment processing fees and taxes. All of this is powered by the same platforms that run the popular Humble Bundles.

While the original Humble Widget has already been delivering exceptional games such as Starbound, Banished, Gone Home and Papers, Please, it has been updated with more payment methods, a customizable look and feel, and the ability to bring asm.js-powered games to be played directly in-browser.

Humble Bundle is pushing the envelope on asm.js -- an extraordinarily optimized, low-level subset of JavaScript -- bringing in-browser gaming through the Humble Widget and the Humble Store. The asm.js versions of Owlchemy Labs' Jack Lumber and Dejobaan Games' AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome are already playable on the developers' respective websites.

Last October, Humble Bundle partnered with Mozilla to launch the first-ever Humble Bundle powered by asm.js, which debuted many popular indie titles onto this new platform including Voxatron, FTL: Advanced Edition, AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome and more. In two weeks, the bundle closed at more than half a million dollars in sales with more than 89,000 bundles sold.

In addition to the widget update, Humble Bundle also launched a developer resources hub for game submissions, porting guides and more. Widget discounts can now be scheduled directly by the developer on their dashboard. For more information, please visit https://www.humblebundle.com/developer.
