Is the lead time still accurate for acceptance of articles and the process still the same?

I've posted my first article this week and am excited for it to see the light of day.

Do some articles stay in the approval queue longer than others simply to schedule new articles to appear at a regular frequency rather than in batches?

I've recently gotten into reading more articles than I did and I think this is a great feature that sets the site apart from just plain forums so the more I can understand and possibly contribute, the better!
