I'm about to launch my first game by the end of april and I need some feedback on my logo. First, I just want to post the icon part of the logo and ask you to tell me what you think it represents. Here it goes:

Yeah, anteater was my first impression as well.
But the way its curled up in a ball or whatever doesnt really tell me much...
It doesn't look like a game icon. What is you game about? Maybe you need more colors, or something recognizable from the game (!= abstract symbol)?

I wasn't very clear on the original post but the log is not from a game but it is the game studio logo.

Yes, the icon represents specifically a Giant Anteater (that explain the dark parts tail and neck stripe). There is an anteater game planed but it wil not be my first one.
I just wanted to know if people can recognize the anteater on the logo.
My first impression was "chipmunk." My second was "some kind of coffee drink."
I see the anteater in context but it would not have been my first guess. The actual portion of the logo that is uniquely "ant-eater" (the upper-right edge of the circle) is relatively small. The rest of it is a bit indistinct.
I thought it was some kind of circle with eyes and a six in the middle.
Could you make the outline of it more clear?, Just something to show the arms and legs a bit more so that it is more easily to see it for an anteater.

It looks pretty, but the bulk of the image doesn't really seem to convey any meaning. Like Josh said, only the small bit with the eyes looks like an animal, and it seems kind of "neglected", or "out on the edge". My focus is drawn to the swirly things in the middle, but they don't convey any meaning to me.
edit: oh, is the swirl in the middle supposed to be a "G" for games?
Wow, ant eater... my first thought was "dragon", next thought was "dragon wearing Nike shoes???", then I wondered if the game's title started with "G" because of the thingie in the middle.
But yeah, with the title below it, it's crystal clear and looks pretty cool.
