That's a nice work around, but it doesn't change the fact that your computer's haunted, and the ghost within may make the jump to your end users computers.

i think its more like blender is haunted, especially when it comes to planar projections onto spheres and the default .x export plugin's lack of a CW vs CCW winding option, which some exporters in some modeling packages apparently have.

unless i stumble across a fix or have further issues, i'll just go with "set object z scale to -1 in blender when using planar projection onto a sphere to fix winding" or "multiply world matrix z scale by -1 when drawing a negative scaled mesh".
