Every now and again it will also ask for your credentials again, this appears to be a random interval.
The need for a login is for me a tiny requirement to get an IDE such as VS Pro for free. I know its called community but it is really the Pro edition under a different licence.
BTW, the 2013 edition has the same requirements
Ya I don't like the login part either. That said its a pretty awesome IDE, so I suck it up and grumble to myself quietly :)
The login part has its advantages.
Vs2015 will save various preferences to your profile, and if you reinstall they'll all be fetched from "the cloud" for you.
A worthwhile sacrifice for the service as setting up programs again how I like them is an annoying chore that I'd rather avoid...

There are other things linked to it as well, like your developer status for store apps and beta apis that you can use.
