Never played any of the Fallout games. Heard a bit about the new one.
I played fallout before it was cool
Fallout 2 was legendary, made during the golden age of Black Isle. FO3 killed their company, so Bethesda (of Elder Scrolls fame) bought the franchise and made their of FO3 (and now FO4).
They also killed off Interplay's fallout MMO.

I got the X1 version of Fallout 4 under the tree this morning...along with Fallout 3! In a steel-book case and some postcards! Yippie!
Not played it yet, but looking forward to my first time with the FO series. Oh, I also got COD: Ghosts...not sure what to expect with that one, but everyone seems to go bananas over the series, so it ought to be somewhat fun...
The 62 hours were spread over 6 weeks instead of 3 days 
In my case, it's quite a lot, being a dad of a 3 year old, having a 40 to 50hr day job and lots of (other) hobbies, something with gamedev...

Loved Fallout 2.
Never played FO3, started it once but quit after just a few minutes gameplay and uninstalled being disappointed it seemed so far from the original series in both feel and gameplay.
Now I'm 48 hours into FO4, and really enjoying it so far!
Not as much as FO2, but I think that is mostly because I was much younger then :)
Maybe I should give FO3 another chance too...

Should have got Advanced Warfare, I really liked it. Jumping and dashing all over the map and when someone runs behind you to knife, you could jump exo-jump back and kill him.
I was disappointed by Fallout 4 for some reason, think I had about 10-15 hours before I just thought, meh.
I wasn't a huge fan of the serious however so I assume I mistook the game for something it wasn't, have some friends who absolutely love this release though. :)
