Just bought a brand new screen, acer. I plug it to power and nothing happens with it, it is just like if it was unpowered. Also, the signal cable does not want to fit in, the plastic surrounding around the plug on the screen is too close and prevents it from going in. Just wanna let you know.

In my experience, Acer does tend to be a little on the cheaply built side.

Not sure what you're trying to share here. You bought equipment that arrived DOA. It happens.

Typically when shopping online there is an image of how the connectors are laid out. Amazon and other online retailers typically have many shots of the product from all angles.

If it was DOA then contact the retailer, most are excellent at replacing DOA merchandise at no cost to you. Add a review to the product, like "First one arrived DOA" and give it a rating that reflects your feelings on the matter.

I would like to correct, the monitor is all ok and running, it was a hidden button I needed to press to make monitor powered, and the signal cable got in, it was just not so "smooth" for me to trivialy plug it, so I didn't plug it, since I always underestimate technique resistance.

Well that just got a whole lot more exciting . . . lol.

I actually bought an Acer laptop recently during the Black Friday sales and while it does feel like cheap plastic a bit, I've been really happy with it so far. Like the keyboard layout much better than Asus.

But no access to back-end to swap RAM / HDDs is a bit of a bummer!

That might be because it was a Black Friday special.

Many vendors make cheap items for the day specifically to be a low price, but it is also typically rather poor quality.

When getting one of those "special deals", it is a good idea to check online, look at model numbers, and ensure it is not a special low-feature version.
