Hierarchical pathfinding. What does it mean to me/us?

I've tested the library called argorha (hope spelling it correctly)
And I see a couple of portals around each cluster.
I want to ask when an abstract path is got.
The agent is able to travel along this abstract path,
But what about between the portals, are these basically on rails?
Thanks
Jack

What do you mean by portals, clusters, "abstract" paths and "on rails"? Are you asking about theory, about some library with an uncertain name, or about something in your application?

A better effort to express yourself in English appears necessary.

A cluster (or a sector) is a group of nodes.

A portal is an exit to that group

And an abstract path is the path that is sought along in the hierarchical map....

Did you really know what I am asking?
