I just opened visual studio 2015 on win 10 and want to use directx sdk. Visual Studio says UPDATE3. When I go to windows there are directx choices. Am I all set to use the directx sdk in my windows apps?

Direct3D headers have been included in the Windows SDK since Windows 8. Installing Visual Studio typically includes the Windows SDK as well, so yes you should be good to go.
