Makeing a model of myself... How?

Okay gurus heres the question. How do I make a 3D model of myself? I mainly worried about the head and facial features. I was thinking along the lines of taking pictures at different angles of myself and loading those into a 3D program that will calc the points and create a model from that. It seems like a clumsy way of doing it though. Do you know of any other ways of doing it or ways to refine the method I was thinking of that I could do at home and not have to find a commercial studio that does that sort of thing? Any specific software that would aid me in it?

In my case, i only need to copy a WWF-triple H model =)

Ok, is a low poly? (for game), or high poly? (such presentation, movie or still image)

In any case, the common method is (for head):
front view :take a snapshot.
left view :take a snapshot
top view :take a snapshot
botton view :impossible, of is possible if you cut you head.
rear view :take a snapshot.
right view :only if is differente to left view.

the when you have the photo, then you need to reescalate, to ensure to all have the same size.

Next, you need to made the contourn and draw over this.

I'm looking for high-poly since I'm going to do movie shorts. I can scenery and objects but its a little harder to do people. Any specific software you would suggest to use?

Another question, you recommend a minimum pic resolution for using this technique?

I know of a few companies offering Bodyscan services, if you get to them at a convention or something like that they´d probably scan you for free and mail you the mesh as 3ds-ascii.
