OK, I went out and bought a HP Jornada with the express purpose of writing apps and possibly games for it. I downloaded the SDK and the eVC for Visual Studio... The problem is that the installation is asking me for a CD-KEY that is much different than the one posted on the site @ microsoft where I downloaded it... what gives? Anyone know about this? Addendum: - The key that Microsoft provides on the download page is: TRT7H-KD36T-FRH8D-6QH8P-VFJHQ But when you install the tools the dialog does not accept this as the CD-Key - TIA Dave "Dak Lozar" Loeser Edited by - Dak Lozar on December 29, 2001 10:56:07 AM

OK, I finally figured this out

The CD Key that is provided works. In the directory where the eMbeded Visual Tools are unpacked (Disk1 and Disk2) I was clicking on acmboot.exe - this was the wrong thing to do

They didn''t use the usual icon for a setup program. They created this new fangled pea-green icon that I simply overlooked. Once I clicked on that and entered the provided CD Key all was well.

Hope this helps someone else downloading the SDK and the eVT from Microsoft.
