OpenGL has no upper limit. The number of lights is implementation dependent, but has to be at least 8.

8, thats good, i thought i were always hardware dependent! are they calculated in gpu or cpu?
Again it''s Hardware dependent, but I''m pretty sure most of the cards have their GPU do job nowadays.
