What''s the best 3D graphics format for exporting models to my game? What I want to do is read a file from Autodesk 3D Studio and convert it to my own game format. What format is the best for this? ASC? 3DS? MAX? any other 3D Studio format?

It depends on what u want to do. .ase is simple because it is ASCII based, but is slow to load. .3ds is most likly the best choice, or so i think..

good luck -

If your only goal is to convert the existing format to your own propriety format, I would recommend going with 3ds files as it is a well document format in so far as many converters with source code already exist for conversion from 3ds.
