GPL exceptions pricing

28 March 2012 - 10:34 AM

Since this is a new topic following up from my previous question regarding selling my GPL licensed open source project with GPL exceptions, I am opening this new thread for my new question. Can anyone share your opinions on how you evaluate the pricing for your products? Thanks.

Question about GNU license

27 March 2012 - 08:40 AM

I am getting an offer from a company requesting to purchase the copyright to use the source codes of my open source level editor under the GNU license for their commercial product, which they will not be distributing their source codes under the same GNU license. I am not sure how it works since this is the first time I am getting this kind of offer. Anyone know if I can sell my GNU licensed source codes with copyright exception to this company? Any info will be helpful. Thanks.

[web] Can multiple UpdatePanels "multi-task"?

09 November 2009 - 04:36 AM

I hope this is the right place to ask this question. I have a question about using AJAX in ASP .NET. I am trying to create a page consists of multiple UpdatePanels. It works great when I am doing a partial postback one at a time. It works as expected with only that part of the page is refreshed without the posting back and refresh the entire page. However, when I clicked on a button on inside one UpdatePanel, while it's still loading I clicked on another button on another UpdatePanel, the first operation automatically cancelled and the second one will process. This is not good, since the page is supposed to allow users to work on different things at the same time. Is it possible to work this way using UpdatePanels? Am I missing anything here? Thanks.

[web] list of search engine filtering words

14 August 2009 - 09:05 AM

Anyone know where I can find a list of all the filtering words a regular search engine would use? I need to create a searching system for the website with the database. For example, words like I, a, is, are, am, you, etc. will be filtered out. I cannot seem to find any list or database for these list of filtering words on the web. Thanks.
