MindTex (normal map generator) price has been reduced to $15

09 August 2012 - 12:52 PM

Hey everyone. I posted on here regarding MindTex, the normal map generation software I created for making normal maps fast (and on an indie budget), a few months ago. At the time I was just in the process of releasing it out of beta, and I'm happy to say it has been well received thanks in no small part to those of you who helped me figure out some of the early stability issues.

That being said, I just wanted to let everyone know that I recently decided to lower the price from $60 to $15 to make it more affordable for anyone who had reservations about getting it. My goal with this software was to make it affordable for indie and hobbyist developers, so I feel this is the best way to do that. For more info, please check out the MindTex site. Hope you enjoy!

Hey everyone,
I've just finished getting my latest project, MindTex, ready for open beta. MindTex is essentially another single-input, multiple-output texture generator with the goal of being affordable without compromising on quality. For a few images and a video demonstrating what it can do, check out the IOTD post. For more information or to try out the beta, check out the product page at http://www.mindtex.com.

Anyways, let me know what you guys think!

Spectraball released!

27 October 2008 - 08:22 AM

Hey all -- as some of you may know, jdavis and myself have been working on a game called Spectraball for the past 8 months or so. Spectraball is a new marble-type game that focuses on platforming and speed, as well as some puzzle elements. I just wanted to announce that it's just recently been released and is now available on Steam for $9.99! If you want to check it out (or take a peek at the trailer), just head to the site: http://spectraball.com Spectraball Screenshot Spectraball Screenshot

Hello...I have been trying to write a simple program that can save and load lists. I am not very experienced with python at all, and so I seem to have gotten stuck at this point... What I'm trying to do is read a list that looks like this:
..and then add up all the "totals" in that list. The code I was trying to do it with is:
def getTotal():
    for date,name,quant,cost,total in logList :
        rtm2 = total
        runttlent.delete(0, END)
        runttlent.insert(0, rtm2)
That inserts rtm2 into an entry widget (using Tkinter..). Now, as you probably guessed, "rtm2 = total" only gives me a single value...I have no idea how to add up every value in the 'total' spot on that list :-/. Any help would be appreciated...thanks in advance. [Edited by - ryguy4377 on March 22, 2007 12:33:50 PM]
