Check out Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?!

Think you could see some of the great things they did and then checkout Total Biscuits video on the game to see what could have been done better.

We have a Project manager (PR and marketing included), 2 programmer, 1 artist, 1 sound, and .5 writer

For most games I would think there needs to be more artists than programers, or programers end up waiting on assets, unless there was a good lead time for asset creation.

I would think, if you are looking for great feedback, that the Developer Journal section of the site is the best place for you to showcase this off. Addditionally, you can use it to build your community!

In Topic: What would you say is required for a good survival horror game?

I suppose that the most important part of the survival horror game is sound design and music

I would say you are very close to the more abstract layer. The MOST Important part is how the creator invokes the feeling of fear and horror. If this is done by amazing music or timed FX than yes I would agree with you. However, it could be done thru a well written narrative. So while sound is a great way to get the correct emotional direction it isn't the only.
