What is more expensive in float?

I wonder which one would be faster, of those opretion sets on computers, in float or double numbers:

1- four goniometric functions

vs

2- one square root and 1 inverse cosinus function

I am wondering wheather topics in Lounge should undercome further specifics of continuation than a very basic stuff (as quite described in the desc of subforum).

 

I'm not trying to neatpick on moderators of course, but I think that this recent topic in the subforum got locked unjustified, or not?

There are many technical topics that do not fall anywhere though they still need, sometimes exhoustive, software knowledge , but unless they will be allowed to mix with any free topics... it will not be lounge anymore?

I wonder, if there is a secure domain, what server should generaly do if it recieves an http: request instead of https: request against this secure domain?

Second question also is, can a server on a station/IP, be serving http and https hosted domains simultenuosly? I am thinking, one way would be to run a secure server that gets certified, and run second isolated unsecure server, and not share hosts between them, would this be most viable thing to do?

If a rotation matrix is encoded in euler angles of axis rotations, are two of such representations (a,b,c) and (d,e,f) possible to correctly slerp into each other by simple lerp of the respective angles into each other?

If there are two unit orthogonal vectors A and B, and they slerp to two orthogonal unit vectors C and D, indivdualy but by the same factor value, do they preserve the orthogonality on entire way?

 

I cannot imagine it well enough to provide me a decision, weather positive or negative, so I try to state a proof to , but I am not sure, here it would be:

 

A . B=1 and C . D=1 , is A1 . B1 =1 for all t<0.0,1.0> if

A1=sin((1-t)*h)/sin(h)*A+sin(t*h)/sin(h)*C;

B1=sin((1-t)*j)/sin(j)*B+sin(t*j)/sin(j)*D;

h=acos(A . C)

j=acos (B . D)

 

Please, help me crack this proof/statement.
