MinGWer - a MinGW distro

11 May 2010 - 03:00 AM

I stuffed together several packages into a new MinGW distribution, mostly binaries directly from upstream (except for boost), and pushed this project onto googlecode. Currently, it contains:
  • GCC 4.5.0 (from upstream at http://mingw.sf.net)
    • OpenMP 3.0 enabled
  • Boost 1.43.0 (custom-compiled with GCC 4.5 using: "bjam toolset=gcc variant=release --layout=system runtime-link=shared --link=static stage|install")
  • SDL 1.2.14 (lib from mingw upstream)
  • SDL_image 1.2.10 (lib from msvc upstream, .lib working as is)
  • libnoise 1.0.0 (.a-lib build by dragging everything recursively into code::blocks, then compiled with GCC 4.5)
The primary purpose of this distro was that I got nervous on packing together custom MinGW installations over and over for compiling picogen on windows, but I think it might be of use for anyone. Find the project here: http://code.google.com/p/mingwer/ Critique and ideas welcome :)

loufoque

22 September 2009 - 01:19 AM

When I look at loufoques rating , it's -79. When I look at his posts, e.g. in this thread, I don't see them anymore. Now I can't decide whether he has deleted all his posts, or if I just can't see them because I can't configure the minimum rating treshold to be negative. But under the assumption that deleted post won't be listed here, it must be his negative rating. In case I missed something, just slap the bitch. Either way, if it's not a bug, I hereby propose an unlimited treshold, which also allows to view posts of negative ratees. [Edited by - phresnel on September 22, 2009 8:01:30 AM]
