#5002734 How should I tackle programming

Posted by on 20 November 2012 - 01:31 PM

I have no plans on giving up. Making games is what i want to do and making games is what i will do. I am just getting frustrated at school seeing other people understanding programming better then me feels disheartening.

I guess it just a part of life and how my brain is wired. Going to have to put in a lot more work then the average person.I didn't do to well on my mid-term but thanks for the confidence boost guys. I know i wont be happy doing anything else in life then making games.

#4951913 UDK or Unity? The best game engine for beginners?

Posted by on 22 June 2012 - 09:42 PM

Unity all the way. Just because games like batman and gears of war where made with unreal doesn't mean it's the best for us noobs to start using. Unity has tons of tutorials. A great community, Awesome documentation, assets to get your game rolling, Not to mention it supports c# which is a great language to start with, And is soo easy to port to other platforms its retarded so head over to the walker boy studio website right now and start learning.http://www.walkerboystudio.com/html/unity_training___free__.html

Hey, biggara i am a noob to this and I am trying to teach myself.

But if you where to ask me I would say Use Unity it's perfect for starters. Easy to import assets. A matter a fact unity has assets that you can use right off there website free assets to use that you can put into your game and flip a profit off of. Also unity has the asset store which also has free stuff too.

For getting started in unity check out 3dbuzz

Some of the tutorials you have to pay for but their unity stuff is free.

Good luck and let me know how it works out for you.

So I made my first game in unity, and I want to send it to my friends to play. However when I tried to email it too them I can't send it because it is and exe file. Is there any other way I can get my friend to try out my game?
