IGB Deal: http://graphicsforfaith.com/games/?page_id=1260

Edit:
I won't be able to hand out the IGB tell after the Kickstarter.  If it is not successful, we will be giving out a decent pack to all that pledged to support at the $75 level.  So it's a win win situation for you.

If you need the files right away for a project, email me roencia(at)gmail(dot)com and we will work something out.
I've posted a few of the sample images:

Zombie Apocalypse Survival Indie Game

Stop the Planet: I want to get off

Sure it has a wierd name, but it will make sense when you play the game.  It's being developed by me and Debora in the Game Maker: Studio engine.  It shows the capabilities of this engine which many underestimate.

I'm putting the game on Steam and other platforms to sell, and Kickstarter for much needed funding.  I've listed some exciting elements of the game, and why it's turning out to be the zombie game I've always wanted to play.

WHAT MAKES THE GAME INTERESTING:

1) Harvest tree’s, berries, gold mines, etc.. using appropriate tools.
2) Build campfires, electric fences, portable generators, Molotov cocktails, +much more.
3) Use what you’ve learned during scenario’s to give you an edge.
4) Find survivors and learn from them, unless you got them killed.
5) Find food & water so you don’t starve, protect your goods from bandit’s.
6) Special events happen during death or capture.
7) Play co-op with a friend. One mines the gold while you build defenses.
8) Night/Day and weather effects.
9) Open world exploration + Many hours of gameplay/endless option

10) You have to figure out how to beat the game.  There are multiple ways.

AWESOME BACKER REWARDS:

1) Be in the game with your own portrait as bandit leader, alien, or survivor
2) Have all the graphics which are around 5,000...could be over 10,000 with game change/graphic additions (royalty free)
3) Play Alpha and Beta versions
4) Design your own scenario other gamers will play

It has simple graphics, but there is an enourmous amount of things you can do while you survive.  Thanks for your time, I can't wait to see you all play this creation  These are the important links:

IGB: Brings Steam Greenlight Controversy

06 September 2012 - 10:56 AM

I always seem to cause trouble whatever I do. Indie Graphics Builder was a Kickstarter I launched providing thousands of flexible art assets to game developers. It's releasing in October. It would be one of the first non-game items distributed on Steam. Steam recently announced that they will be bringing non-games to steam.

I've already had a positive and negative reaction. I noticed Steam Dev's took a look at my project and didn't take it off, so they might want to see how it pans out. Maybe you could give me your opinion. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=93199529

Hi everyone,

Thought I'd offer you all a chance to break into the video game industry. My site, Roencia Game Creators, is opening for video game reviews. It's been running for a few years and reached a traffic milestone and I now believe your game can get sufficient enough exposure when featured on our site. With the flood of submissions, not all games will get reviewed, but many will. Your game may also receive even more attention with a video review.

You may also sell your game from our community store, if your game qualifies. To find our more information or express your interest. Send an email to the appropriate contact on this page: Contact Page

Post if you have any questions. I hope this will give you the opportunity you've been waiting for.

NEW - Indie Graphics Builder (create unique sprites)

14 June 2012 - 02:31 PM

"It's not the usual game kickstarter submission, it's a way to help others other with gaming graphical assets."

We often get help with our game programming with software such as Construct, Gamemaker, Stencyl etc... but how often do we have ways to make graphic creation easier? I've started a site, community, and Kickstarter project to help with this.

Kickstarter Link: http://kck.st/NbHSQ9

The kickstarter is called "Indie Graphics Builder" and contains more than 5000+ sprites. It's never been done before. You build graphics by dragging pieces together, kind of like Spore, but in the 2D realm. The Kickstarter page will explain in more detail how you can create unique sprites with the package. I need help with promotion to see this through and to increase my chances of a successful campaign. My funding price is really low, and I'm afraid it will cost me much more in time just to finish the project.

The Features:
  • Psd, Jpg, png, & gif supported - These file types will ensure you can use them in any editing program on Mac or Pc.
  • Completed samples - If you need even more time scrapped off your development process, the package provides samples and finished sprites.
  • Commercial & Royalty free - Make games and sell them. We'll also provide an online store to help you sell them.
  • Animated Parts - Not only are the parts still images, but also animations for building sprites will be supplied
