Mobile Optimized Garage Environment

04 January 2015 - 09:27 AM

This is a full garage environment model designed for mobile game projects. The environment is a 4,500 polygon mesh, utilizing (4) 1024 x 1024 diffuse textures. It's ideal for mobile and/or web streaming projects. The asset is provided in FBX and OBJ formats for use within any major game engine. Textures are provided as PSD and TGA file formats with well named layers.  A Unity package file is also provided within the source files for ease of import for Unity Game Engine users.

I'm currently working on completion of a Dinosaur Pack optimized for web and mobile applications. Currently I have two models completed, the Tyrannosaurus and the Pteranodon. The Pteranodon mesh came in at 570 polygons. The Tyrannosaurus mesh is 1,800 polygons. They both utilize 1024 x 1024 layered file textures. Each layer group is organized and appropriately named. The package will include a very optimal "Dino Shader", that includes rim lighting and a detail texture overlay. The detail texture overlay allows for some very neat customization for stripes, patterns, birthmarks, etc.

This is my current list of dinos:
1.) Tyrannosaurus Rex
2.) Pteranodon
3.) Brachiosaurus
4.) Velociraptor
5.) Stegosaurus
6.) Ankylosaurus

Of course each will have proper idle animations, walking, running, eating, and attacking.

Here are some preview images of the meshes and current textures.

Finished up the modeling and texturing part of the Brachiosaurus as well. 1,560 polygons, 1024x1024 diffuse texture. Moving on to modeling the Velociraptor shortly smile.png

And a very high resolution screen capture from the Unity viewport.

This cuddly little guy is now modeled. 1,900 polygons. UVs and texturing in Photoshop left to do for today.

Mobile Car System & Model Pack

04 October 2014 - 08:32 PM

A neat little art pack for game developers. I've been working on variations of these for more than a year now, these are modified meshes, updated texture resolutions, a new fresnel/reflective shader and come completely driveable right out of the box. They also have NGUI touch support built right in!

Unity-based Space Flight Tutorial

23 August 2014 - 11:34 AM

Working a new tutorial series, right now it's a couple of hours worth, but more videos are coming in the series! If you ever wanted to set up a space flight game, with intelligent AI, damage and health and a nice 3rd person camera, this is the tutorial for you.

This is what it will end up looking like near the end of the series. Please excuse the stand in fire button textures and the AI (represented as cubes right now).
