Hmm, it seems odd though that it would happen so frequently.

Then you're down to good old debugging Posted Image Make a simple map with only a flat square surface. Then step in the method and see while it fails.

That's what I was doing before I posted on here. I stepped so far into the code I no longer knew what it was doing. The only thing that I managed to find was an uninitialized variable called called qfac in "dtNavMeshQuery::queryPolygonsInTile", that gets set by "tile->header->bvQuantFactor" which is the first time ive seen that.

It appears to generate the mesh nicely... I think.

In Topic: Recommended Library for Midi playback

19 September 2011 - 07:37 AM

A couple of strange ideas:

  • Why do you think DirectX 9.0 libraries are deprecated, outdated and unsupported? They are old, but still state of the art in areas that were already very mature in 2004 (like MIDI playback).
  • Your MIDI playback works. What are you worrying about?
If you dislike DirectMusic for some reason, there are the good old drivers and the built-in synthesizer. A random article from 2010 (WPF & .Net): http://msdn.microsof...e/ee336028.aspx

Thanks for the reply. The reason I think they are depracted is because it states it on the MSDN page for DirectMusic (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd551276(v=vs.85).aspx)
What im worried about are any possible instabilities that may arise in the future.
