Some Jazz Piano.

Hey,
Hope everyone's doing well?
I'm quite busy at the moment, but when I find the time, I like to play old standards on piano. It's kind of an oddly specific hobby, at least here in Germany - and I never really play live or make use of this style in my productions.
That's probably why I'm not a very good player, but following the chords is good training for both theoretical and hearing skills. Plus, it's fun!
Anyway, I thought I'd share some of it with you.

Nothing fancy sound-wise, I just put my Zoom H-2 recorder on top of an old piano.
Any feedback welcome, of course!
Any other jazz fans out there? Nate, I recall you play the sax, do you go to sessions from time to time or something?
Cheers,
Moritz

Busy Bags Theme
25 November 2012 - 12:52 PM
Hey everyone,
I've got some more music to share.
http://soundcloud.com/mpgk/toppling-over-busy-bags-theme
This track was the winning entry of a VGM competition hosted by the School of Entertainment and Technology back in August.
The music will be featured as the main theme in Kaasa Solution's "Busy Bags", a time management game for iOS.
Hope you enjoy listening, and thanks in advance for any feedback you might have!
Should you have any questions regarding the composition or production, I'll try to answer them to the best of my capabilities.
Cheers,
Moritz

Rebooting my article series on Video Game Music
04 October 2012 - 06:26 PM
Hey people,
One of my first posts here on Gamedev.net was a link to an article series on game music that I started on my website.
The thread already seems to be gone and that's some solid proof that it's been too long since my last update.
That's why I've decided to give the series a general overhaul.
And here's where I need your help - I want the articles to be interesting for both composers who'd like to improve their craft as well as for game devs who'd like to get some insight on how we actually work.
Some topics I'd like to cover are:
I'd like these articles to be open for ideas, opinions and experiences.
So what would you like to read about? Or maybe you have an interesting story to share?
I'd love to get some feedback. Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Moritz

3DS MAX Tag - Bug?
01 June 2012 - 12:25 PM
Hello,
Weird stuff.
The last post in the Music & Sound section of the forum on the forum index (http://www.gamedev.net/index) always seems to have a "3DS MAX" tag applied - this tag is only seen on the index, though. Maybe I'm the only one seeing it?
Apologies if this has been covered!
Cheers,
Moritz
