About Me

Hello!

I'm a graduate from Ohio State University with a BFA in Art & Technology. Life can get pretty hard, and expensive, but I have lots of friends to back me up. My dream is being able to make enough with my artwork that I don't have to do a campus food job anymore. I hope to be a comic artist or help make animated features or video games.

My very first console was an old-school Nintendo. It was 1988 so that generation was about to be phased out. I never got to have an SNES but everyone I knew went straight for the Sega Genesis. I'm one of the few people I know that would actually still play the Dreamcast, if my brother didn't sell it behind my back and ran off with every cent. Right as of now the genre I play the most is the RPG but my favorite series is Legend of Zelda. The newest console I have played was my brother's PS3 and before that it was only a Playstation 2 in the house. I hope on getting a Wii or the WiiU once it's released.

I remember I started drawing a lot when I was eleven. It was mostly because my brother did quite a bit of it. I didn't have much to do otherwise and I felt I was decent for my age, though embarrassing if I ever found my drawings again over ten years later. I focused mainly on character design because I didn't feel comfortable with anything else. The early years were spent on a story I trashed quickly but I'm trying to revamp it now with some huge alterations. I also have a few others I really want to share with the world. Over time I started getting comfortable with more and more drawing skills. Now, I can do almost anything if I work at it long enough. My one thing is I still need to work on getting my perspective right the first time.

I'm available for commission. I have a site at www.akaneart.com and a deviantART account here: www.a0ka0neArt.deviantart.com. You can also contact my e-mail animegirl88042000@yahoo.com (check most often) or ann_foerster@hotmail.com.
