Death Note Abridged

18 December 2011 - 03:24 AM

Hello I am Discount_Flunky

My team has finally made the first episode of Death Note abridged. All things considered I think it's very good for a first episode. I know that there are a lot of DNA versions out there (most never get past the first episode), but I feel ours is very unique. Plus most DNA series our absolute crap. Most of the time they literally copy the original script almost line by line.

Feedback is strongly appreciated, however let me spare you form having to report the obvious. I am well aware that there are several lines were you can hear mic cracking sounds and I also know that certain lines are way to quiet. It's all our mics fault. The thing is so fickle it's scary. I think if we got a better mic the quality of our work would double (at least). In fact if anyone could recommend a quality microphone model that's cost $100 dollars or less it would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the link. Link

After (and during) we finish this series I really want to cross over into more virgin territory and do abridgments of old school cartoons. I'm also considering doing it with live action shows.

Hows this for a leveling system

28 September 2011 - 01:21 PM

I've been experimenting with a leveling system were the xp required to level up eventually gets really high but it's not impossible to reach. It's a 0-100 level system. I have attached a table and a graph here that shows the progression. I'm wondering if the xp amounts required to level are too high or too small. Although the numbers look big they might actually be too small because killing a high end enemy can yield 1000+ xp, and you get xp for successful crafting attempts and such. In fact since I want every play style to be rewarded almost everything you do gives you xp so maybe it needs to be way higher.

City generation software Urban Pad

25 September 2011 - 06:18 AM

Hi I just learned of this amazing new software that makes it easy and quick to generate huge cites to put in your games. This software will certainly help me and I'm sure many people will be interested in it. I don't know if this has been brought up yet, but I'm spreading the word now.

The Software is normally $700 but right now they are having a special for $29 till October 3. The catch is that the offer only stands if they make a financial goal within the sale time. If the goal isn't meet everyone who has bought the software gets a refund and they don't get the software, and they will have to buy it at the regular price. Here's some fine print form the site.

"Stay tuned to daily site and media feed updates to track the ShareIt! progress bar. The offer will be closed on October 3, 2011. If we reach our goal by October 3, then we’ll ship everyone a copy of Ürban PAD on October 3. If the goal is not met, you’ll be refunded. Now get going and spread the word!"

I am making this post for two reasons. 1. I think this an amazing software that many people would want to know about. 2. I want them to reach the goal for obvious reasons.

Their website is here. http://www.gamr7.com...urban_pad/index

If you like the software buy it now for the sake of yourself and the other buyers.
