Topics I've Started

Touch Browsing

14 November 2012 - 05:45 AM

Just throwing this stuff out there, because more and more, I like to read the forums on my tablet.

It's very hard to accurately touch the links I'm trying to get to, and it sometimes takes me multiple tries to get anything right.

The topics titles, board section, original poster, tags, and page links are all crammed together with no space in between. When I try to enter a topic it's very difficult, and even when zoomed in, I often click into one of the other links (usually the profile of the original poster) and have to back out and try again until I finally get it.

There is a column to the left that has a circle or star that I can touch to enter the thread, but that too is crammed and I often end up touching one of the boxes on the left menu instead. Touching anywhere in those menus will take you somewhere instead of just the text part.

I think widening this column to about double of what it is now would make it much easier to get into a thread.

The upper menu is also hit or miss. It sometimes pushes off the edge of my screen when I hit the drop down. would be nice to have the MY CONTENT button also on the line that says WATCHED CONTENT and NEW CONTENT.

Running Chrome on a 1280x800 screen on a 10" tablet. I seem to have to zoom out a bit to fit it all in there horizontally, making the already crammed things even smaller.

Blender 2.5.1 is out

19 February 2010 - 09:00 AM

This is the second alpha of Blender 2.5. 2.5 is getting better each day. The new mesh editing project with NGON support seems to almost be ready for the upcoming beta2 release as well.
What to Expect * Big improvements - The 2.5 alpha 1 release has 100s of essential fixes compared to the alpha 0. * Missing/Incomplete Features - Although most of it is there, not all functionality from pre-2.5 versions has been restored yet. Some functionality may be re-implemented a different way. * Bugs - We've fixed a lot lately, but there are still quite a few bugs. This is alpha software, we're still working on it! * Changes - If you're used to the old Blenders, Blender 2.5 may seem quite different at first, but it won't be long before it grows on you even more than before.
