Where do I begin WITHOUT an engine?

02 December 2013 - 05:59 PM

So, I'm back after many frustrations with Unity, and I'm having problems. I've realized that just diving in and screwing around in Unity is doing NOTHING for me learning wise, so I want to go the route of not using a game engine. Why? I don't want the constraints. The problem is, I have no knowledge of anything programming or game design-wise (even terminology) so I need some help. Where do I even begin? What kind of libraries or programs will I need? What language should I start with?

Vote for Kinetic Damage to E3

28 April 2013 - 05:54 PM

Alright guys, this game has been in development for about 4 years now by a single person who has dedicated his HEART to this game, and I think it deserves to be recognized.

Where to begin? (C#)

13 February 2013 - 05:39 PM

So I've looked around, but I can't find anywhere for learning C# from a beginner standpoint. I know NO programming terms or anything in general about programming. (If it helps, I use Unity 3D). Can anyone help?

Mind games?

29 January 2013 - 08:46 PM

Hello, I was just wondering, how would you feel about a mental crime game? Like the show criminal minds, you wouldn't just shoot, but you'd have to investigate and find the killer? How would you feel about this, and what would be some ways to pull this off?

Rights to a song?

Hey guys, I was wondering about a song that we wanted to use for an upcoming indie game. How would we even try to do this, if possible?
