Doepfer Synthesizer

07 April 2013 - 12:45 PM

Hey everybody,

I am considering an investment in a few Doepfer a-100 synthesizer modules. I was wondering if anybody else shared the same hobby and if you have played with Doepfer gear before? My current line up I am considering is a VCO, VCF, VCA, ADSR, LFO, and a midi to cv unit. Is there any other modules you think are "essential"? I only have about $750 to spend right now.

GameDev logs out on Android.

19 March 2013 - 04:08 PM

I'm having trouble viewing Gamedev.net on my nexus.

After I log in, if I go to a different page, I'm suddenly logged out.

Is this a problem with GD.net or with my device settings?

Clay Animation Video Game

02 March 2013 - 09:14 AM

This idea for a game using sprites and backgrounds that are pictures of clay figures just suddenly came to me.

Has anything like this ever been done? It seems like it would take a lot of work and real talent among both artists and programmers to get it looking real. If it hasn't been done, what do you think of the idea?

A question about Github

23 February 2013 - 03:31 PM

Hello,

I am using Git-hub to host a project my buddy and I are working on together.

We noticed how the directory system they use is a little confusing. Here is a picture of what it looks like:

Attached File  git.png   20.28K   32 downloads

Inside of the folder called PKRB there are all of the same src, bin, and settings folders as well as the classpath file that are on the outside.

The thing is that the files in the SRC folder outside of the PKRB folder are all out of date.

Why is it keeping this old stuff out in the open? Would it be harmful to delete it? It just seems to make using git a little more confusing, to have to check which files are old and which are new.

Boot order of operating systems.

14 February 2013 - 03:19 PM

Hello,

I have both windows 7 and linux mint installed on my desktop.

I also have it set up in my BIOS for the computer to automatically turn on at 4 PM so that it is on when I get home.

Every time it turns on by itself it boots to linux mint, because it is at the top of the list in GRUB.

How do I get windows on the top of the list so that it boots instead of linux?
