I try to all my engine and my 3D photoshop program and all my future development to multiflatform

What is so popular GUI library? or SDK?


I saw WXW and I using that in my company( not my own  I work this company for two days a week ) 


I think It's not bad. very similar to MFC and easy to porting


but before going I ask you about what is your favorite or prefer or famous ..

had million seller and 16 years totally good 3D engine experience and own comercial 3D engine and sell it a lot.


how much he get paid at MS EA, or any other big company as top engineer.


just tell me about brief number :)


Korea's situation is too low.. 


I heard it from 400,000$ to a million paycheck a year .


Is it correct.

I found out 


"glGetProgramiv" has problem.


I use instead "glGetShaderiv"


It works okay


I post this thread for somebody with trouble.

I'm pooh I toppest 3D engine programer world ( I think there is about 50-100 people is toppest - I'm one of them)



I start graphics programming when I was 12. I start with bulshit turtle graphics. I really hate the arthur. and keep going on.


at 1996 there is no education about 3D graphics in here .


I research all about siggraph  and graphics paper. It's so suck I'm Korean and My major was philosphy so I serious trouble reading engineering paper. ( I mean my earlier times - not now. I just more care about new hardware trand or visual art - technical stuff is nothing serious to me)


but I'm the first generation and there was no one know about 3D stuff well . I can keep join toppest group in Korea and still now on.


In Korea until now there is no good computer graphic school. I work for 16 years for this area., and I think US and other place will be same. I doubt there is high and very detail education about 3D theory and hardware education.


So cheer up if you are not teached well. don afraid of it.


Technic come from experience and by hand like old stuff - like smith.


I don't read about this thread and I don't care about "why are you the toppest kind of question - I just know by my experience-" so If you have any question or something send me a message and plz send me constructive one only.


I will be honest and truefully help you.

at my case mostly it occur about vertex declarion about buffer and shader ...


of vertex buffer's structure..


and you must use PIX for this kind of problem..

I've been messing around with creating my own "shield" shader, the basic idea is something like this - which can be seen in planetside 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLHxPZu4blI&t=20m36s now rendering the basic shield on a mesh is not a problem, the problematic parts come when I want to create the "borders" you can see in the video where the shield touches the building itself. The same borders also appear when say a vehicle or player passes through the shield. Other effects im looking into creating is a "wave/circle" type of effect when a bullet hits the shield for example.

Anyway, I'm not looking for cut n paste shader code, but more for general pointers in the right direction to achieve these effects.

OMG too long video can you capture that specific effect?

I think I can tell you about idea or implementations.
