Yes thanks. It works with snprintf on Ubuntu, I'll later compile it on Win/OSX.

#5214399 makefile

Posted by FGFS on 04 March 2015 - 02:08 AM

PS: SOLVED but can't delete this post.

I try to compile a makefile based project and get:

/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libSDL.a when searching for -lSDL
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lSDL
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lSOIL32
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libGL.so when searching for -lGL
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lGL
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lluajit-5.1

I guess I need to tell to compile for x64? Probably I need to change this line below?

Without OpenSource the whole IT would be the most boring thing.

#5201482 sdl 1.2 mouse crosshair

Posted by FGFS on 03 January 2015 - 02:28 AM

Anyone doing alike in a crossplatform, already existing opengl context?

#5201233 sdl 1.2 mouse crosshair

Posted by FGFS on 02 January 2015 - 01:16 AM

No I'm using 1.2 and won't bother to change existing code. A runtime crash without any details (x-plane plugin dll)

Do I need to give something to the arrow array?

I don't use sdl for video only for some other stuff in my x-plane (opengl) dll, hence I need more code?

#5190684 Why don't you use GCC on windows?

Posted by FGFS on 02 November 2014 - 12:24 AM

rying to install GCC requires the same messy approach as when installing things on Linux with a long list of things to patch man

Nonsens! On Ubuntu 14.04 GCC install is a one click in synaptic. Same for dev. libs like SDL, Curl, OpenAL etc. that I needed in my last project.

I was coding in 5 minutes with Eclipse.

On Windows 8.1 it took me about 2 hours to mess around with downloads, include paths etc. and I remember well that I've thought "I cannot be worse on OSX".

But on OSX it was a true pain in the ass for around 2 days.

@ Washu This is my personal experience with Apple.-

Also to pirate gcc is definitely no way to go.-

#5190525 Why don't you use GCC on windows?

My first google finding and a quick look through seems to say that Clang came alive because of missing closed source plugins?

In my opinion Apple has developed some complexes in MS dominance time. To disguise Clang to be GCC is nothing but plain unfriendly.

They could do like everybody else, see Eclipse screenshot:

Did you even try to log in to an Apple account with Linux? The account gets immediately disabled without further notice!

How silly, of course it's trivial. I was hoping for someone to save me some time or bring a new approach.

DR1/2 always start with 0 and can go up to 1 as I've explained above. Thanks for code examples.

No, as I've said, I only wanted to have them ready and test if all would be fine. I won't include them in the next years.
