Experienced lead game designer and propelled CEO of Fishing Cactus (Belgian Game Development Studio). Bruno has worked in the videogame industry as game designer, project manager and producer for more than 10 years now.
Bruno Urbain has an extensive video game design experience home console, handled & computer titles (X360, PS3, GameCube, PS2, Xbox, PC, DS, iPhone, iPad, Mobile, Kinect). So far as the head of Fishing Cactus, Bruno has delivered more than 35 products.
He has always been very involved in the production of games either from the production, design or programming point of view. He has always been eager to work closely to the production team to share and communicate his vision and ideas.
His technical background as programmer is very appreciated by engineers as he understands the constraints behind the craziest and wild design ideas. He has also demonstrated how to work with artists while keeping strong gameplay constraints.
He’s not afraid of working in more technical or integration tasks such as AI, mission scripting, tuning complex game parameters, integrate content, design and implement UI or levels production.
While very technical, he has a strong interest in new management and design methodologies such as SCRUM. Applied for several years now he is always motivated to integrate new ways of working if they seem useful. He has also managed a playtest program of more than 200 external testers in the past.
