Does the project fit the team?

20 January 2010 - 09:55 AM

Alright, I have a lot to say and I am going to do my best to make it clear. Before the start of Winter Quarter, I got a few of my friends together (3 counting me) and I purposed and idea of making a game. The game idea I had planned out for us was a simple 2D shooter(using XNA). Everyone thought it was a good idea. Now the problem, everyone has decided to up the project to be a sort of simple 3d rpg. I don't think that we'd be able to do such a project and I can't seem to make them understand. I just want to know if it would be a good idea to continue on with such a project or good ways to make them understand. Team Structure Note:*None of us have worked on a project together* Myself - Experience with allegro, and SDL (not the best coder) Friend1 - Decent Coder, no game programming experience Friend2 - Iffy coder, no game programming experience PersonTheyAdded - Completed basic programming classes I can see the obvious, but they do not. Any suggestions on what to do would be very much appreciated. Don't forget these are my friends so I can't just come right out and say "You guys are dumb this project will fail". Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Question about college..

20 July 2007 - 07:20 AM

I will be starting college in the Fall at Wright State for computer science.I have to take a foreign language for 6 quarters (what I was told by my adviser because I didn't take any in high school), and I was just wondering if any language would be more beneficial to me. Any suggestions would be helpful and very appreciated. Blaine (ghostbear_ac)
