I'm an architect and I'm a arcvhis artist too, so these things aren't new for me but the memory loads issues related to the use of textures are starting to concern me due to a new project I'm getting involved with, related to buildings real time visualization. On mine archvis projects I'm not so concerned about using the power of 2 on my textures but I cans see from your article that it's a must to visualize things properly. The information should be applicable in many different areas of study relating to real time visualization, including architectural visualization, depending on your method. Though, be sure to check back, i plan on updating this article soon with topics ranging from poly/tri/vertex counts, polyflow, to even scene composition and lighting (i've been studying quite a bit in this area).
