Materia: Final Fantasy VII Remixed

10 October 2015 - 08:39 PM

A large group of us audio nerds (around 185 from all over the globe) put together a tribute album which covers lots of the music from Final Fantasy and it launched yesterday. It's over five hours of music and you can pick it up for $15 on Loudr (or pay more if you wish). This was a labor of pure love for the game and it's amazing score. Check it out!

Here's the piece I arranged/produced:

Thanks!

Jazz Tune

01 June 2015 - 03:42 PM

Hey everyone,

Here's a short jazz sample I put together about 3-4 weeks ago. It was a lot of fun!

There's another new cue right below it which is orchestral. These were done as part of an audio test for an in-house studio gig, which I got! Now I'm a composer/sound designer with Bee Cave games based in Austin, TX.

Thanks,

Nate

PT development petition

30 April 2015 - 10:15 AM

Not really sure these petitions really make any kind of difference but it's well worth a shot:

I signed it and wanted to let you all know. Perhaps it will help?

Ninjatown: Trees of Doom "Death" Sounds

17 April 2015 - 08:41 PM

Here's a short montage of clips featuring the "death" sounds we came up with for Ninjatown: Trees of Doom! which is FREE on the app store. This was a really fun project I did several years back where I also provided the music and sound design. My wife, Sarah, did all of the ninja vocalizations. Hope you enjoy it!

New article is now up!

24 March 2015 - 09:36 AM

Here's a new article which focuses on how clients also need to impress freelancers:

http://madsenstudios.com/impressed-denver-composer-sound-designer-nathan-madsenstudios/

It's full of tips and examples which can serve both as a reminder to freelancers and helpful tips to clients as to what to avoid!

Hope it's helpful.
