Another GC Gameplay Video

4: Adsense

Decided to upload another quick gameplay video. It's not HD, and there really isn't a whole lot going on, but it shows the basic elements that are in place right now: combat, crafting, resource gathering, etc... The pace of combat will be pretty much as shown, so while there will be a lot going on, the turn-based nature of it will hopefully make it manageable. Right now the set of actions to be performed is small, but it's growing.

Very nice, when can we get our hands on a demo? :)

Thanks, guys.

@molehill: Demo might not be for awhile. There needs to be more "stuff", and it's creating that "stuff" that takes so long for me. I do have a hot-seat multiplayer gameplay test tentatively scheduled with a couple of my nieces for sometime in the next two weeks, though, that'll feature a 3 or 4 way rivalry brawl and treasure hunt. Maybe if that goes well, I'll release it to the public.

Offtopic: Man, the sunrise that's going on outside the window right now is amazing. Makes this kind of early morning coding session totally worth it, even with the loss of sleep.

That's really cool.

Knowing the intense gameplay skills of the younger female relatives in my own family, I think you ought to 'accidentally' leave in that 11000 HP you gave yourself, if you hope to stand any chance of survival at all.

How did you make the shroud/fog of war?

Nov 18 2013 07:33 PM

@Servant: Heh, yeah, I fully expect them to beat the snot out of me. They're smarter than I am.

@polyfrag: There isn't any fog of war. Just very low ambient light with lots of point lights. It's not very obvious in that crappy quality video.
